Daily devotions are practiced to enter into bhakti. Devotions to Father Divine or Mother Divine are the same. This contemplative path is the Christian meditation taught by Jesus. Bhakti is a Sanskrit word which means devotion to God. Love of God transforms the negative tendencies in our own minds releasing the river of infinite love. Pagan prayer is also very effective prayer because it is love that is the goal as opposed to any particular form of God. The heart of worship is to know that God is love. Wiccan prayers often engage the Goddess as she is the most approachable form of God. Sincere effort is needed to experience God directly. Kali worship a form of devotion for God. Our meditations can be centered by the power of love. Devotion is a means of realizing God directly through love. Prayer to the Holy Spirit should be one of surrender and love. The benefits of meditation on God's love are many. To worship and love God is a very high spiritual path. Gods love is Jesus love is Buddha love. Love and light are the essence of God and therefore our own being and everything that exists. Finding love for God is the most important goal a human being can embrace. Bhakti yoga or bhakti marga lead one to union with the Divine. Love is the both the vehicle and the goal in the practice of bhakti or devotion. The ecstasy that a bhakta or practitioner of bhakti feels is equal to Samadhi. In the beginning we ask what is love but in the end we know. Effective prayer brings us to the center of the heart where we find God. It does not matter if we engage in Christian worship or any other faith. How to find God can be answered in the book Finding God's Love. Meditation on the form of God we prefer with love is what brings us to the goal. Contemplative prayer brings us to know divine love. Wicca worship brings us to the heart of the Supreme Being which dwells in all of nature and within ourselves. God's love is unconditional love and that is also our goal. Prayer is like meditation in that it brings the mind to one pointedness. Religions devotionals are the cornerstone of every faith. The love of God is all encompassing as unconditional love. Goddess worship is one form of devotion. Buddhist prayers are in essence the same as Islamic prayers and Christian prayers. Meditation techniques are used to uncover the wellspring of divine love. Religion is the surface while spirituality is the depth of the ocean. Love of God is the beginning of wisdom. Knowing God is attained by loving God.
