Bhakti yoga or bhakti marga lead one to union with the Divine. The ecstasy that a bhakta or practitioner of bhakti feels is equal to Samadhi. Love is the both the vehicle and the goal in the practice of bhakti or devotion. Bhakti is a Sanskrit word which means devotion to God. Daily devotions are practiced to enter into bhakti. To worship and love God is a very high spiritual path. Love of God transforms the negative tendencies in our own minds releasing the river of infinite love. Sincere effort is needed to experience God directly. Love and light are the essence of God and therefore our own being and everything that exists.
